Hot hide glue, fish glue, Titebond hide glue, Titebond original and also as an afterthought Old brown glue. I put some glue on top of pieces of a spruce center strip and let it dry, the Old brown glue one was made after this picture.

The hide glue that I have in the shop is for doublebass repairs when Mike Olivola or Allan Droyan visit for a week at a time. The 315 strength glue worked very well for a 1957 not-so-precisely fit replacement bass bar that came loose about 4" from the end.
